The Salvation Army is a church and international charitable organization. With over 1.5 million members worldwide, consisting of soldiers, officers and adherents known as Salvationists. Salvation Army was founded in 1865 by Catherine and William Booth, who sought to bring salvation to the poor, destitute and hungry by meeting both their "physical and spiritual needs". It is present in 127 countries, running charity shops, operating shelters for the homeless and disaster relief and humanitarian aid to developing countries. So many Rotarians help during the holidays with bell ringing. From South Mecklenburg to Gastonia, from West Stanly to Taylorsville. Thank you for your service!
