South Mecklenburg Interact helps children in Peru


Matthews Rotarian Raffaele Beltram, his wife Marlene, fellow Rotarians and Esha, Interact Club President 2015-16 have received a proposal from the Salamanca de Monterrico Club in Lima, Peru for the use of the monies raised last school year 2015-16 by the INTERACT Club of South Mecklenburg High School, a total of $ 800. These monies were matched equally by the South Park Rotary Club and the Matthews Rotary Club, thus we have a total of $ 1,600 Current President Gilda and past president Emilio have submitted the following plan to benefit the Children with Cancer Home: Total available USD 1,600 Purchases: 1 Ozone water filter, 2 carbon filters (to replace current ones), electrical installation, 25 dinner sets (plates, cups, glasses, silverware), 4 metal bunk beds with two mattresses each, transportation, food and cleaning items.
