The Charlotte Providence Rotary Club stepped up throughout October and together with East Meck’s Interact Club and the Cotswold Farmer’s Market community, exceeded all goals set by the Club for the Second Harvest Food and Funds drive! In 40 days, the Club filled over 4 bins with more than 400 items and raised $517 in funds for the local community to help fight food insecurity. The total food items collected weighed about 406 pounds, which combined with $517 in funds collected (7 lbs for every $1), gives a grand total of 4,025 pounds of food. We are so thankful for the way Rotary friends care for our neighbors in need. A special thanks to the Club’s Service Committee for coordinating and delivering food to Second Harvest and for our Club’s constant support with promotion and donations throughout the campaign.
