Debra (Debb) Corbett, Rotary 7680 District Governor 2023-2024 

Rotary Club of Mecklenburg County-South

Debra (Debb) Corbett was born in Pasadena, TX on August 14, 1969. She attended Texas A&M University where she earned her BS degree in Psychology followed by an MS in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.  Debb married her high school sweetheart, Bailey Corbett, in 1992 and they have three adult sons, Bailey, Kendon, and Chase. She and her family moved to the Charlotte area in 1999 and made North Carolina their home.

Debb is a second generation Rotarian following in the footsteps of her father. She began her Rotary journey in 2004 as a member of the Union West Rotary Club where she served as club president from 2007-2008 earning the award and honors of top small club in the district under her presidential tenure. She later joined the Mecklenburg County-South Rotary club in 2009.  She received the award of Distinguished Rotarian in both Union West and Mecklenburg County-South Rotary Clubs. She is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society Member, Benefactor, and RLI graduate. In 2012, Debb joined the inaugural group of District 7680 Mt. Kilimanjaro climbers raising awareness and funds for ending polio worldwide. Debb actively supported the Youth Exchange Program serving as a counselor for students and hosting YE students.

On the district level, Debb served as District Membership Chair, District Secretary, District Conference Co-Chair, District Governor Aide, and RYLA/SFTL Chair. Debb was recognized with awards for outstanding leadership in district membership in 2009 and youth services in 2016. Her primary focus, a role she began in 2010, is with the Rotary District 7680 RYLA initiative, Seminar For Tomorrow’s Leaders (SFTL), where she serves as chair and lead facilitator. Debb sees the future of Rotary growing through the seeds of youth services and Rotaract.

Currently, Debb is a leadership development consultant and mental health professional. She is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator helping organizations and teams achieve their leadership growth goals. Additionally, she works as an adjunct trainer with the Center for Creative Leadership. Prior to expanding her career into leadership training, Debb spent several years working as a professional mental health counselor in private practice.

Debb enjoys traveling, hiking, fine wine, spending time at their beach house, cheering for her favorite baseball player (aka, youngest son), and singing. Fun fact, Debb sang with a cover band for two years. She is a lifetime member of the Rotarian Wine Appreciation Fellowship.

Kevin Kendrick, Rotary 7680 District Governor 2024-2025

Rotary Club of Charlotte Dilworth South End

Kevin Kendrick was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1956, the son of working-class parents and the fifth of five children. The value of education was instilled early on and Kevin, always a voracious reader, was reading on his own by the age of three.

After graduating from college in 1978, Kevin began a career in law enforcement starting with the Wayne State University Police Department, the Detroit Police Department and culminating with 25 years in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His last assignment was as the Special Agent in Charge of the Charlotte Division of the FBI where he spent two years and developed a love for North Carolina. He and his wife, Jenny, relocated to Midland, Michigan when he was hired to become the Vice President of Global Security for the Dow Corning Corporation, a position he held for eleven years.

Kevin joined Rotary in 2007 because of being asked by a co-worker at Dow Corning. He joined the Board of Directors at the Midland Noon Rotary Club in 2011 and began his formal journey in learning about Rotary’s capabilities. He served as President of the Midland Rotary Club for 18 months beginning in 2015. Always a fan of collaboration, he Initiated a partnership with other service clubs to raise almost 100,000 diapers for a non-profit providing diapers to about 20 day care providers for working parents and senior centers. While President, he also initiated a “Pies for Polio” partnership campaign with a local restaurant specializing in pies, which resulted in a tradition for the club that continues to this day. During his time in the Midland Club, Kevin, and his wife Jenny, hosted three Rotary Youth Exchange students and participated with a dozen others in various outings.

In addition to Rotary, Kevin was involved in several community organizations and initiatives, aimed at improving outcomes for citizens and the community. This included being a member of the Midland Area Community Foundation’s Cultural Awareness Committee where he helped to organize cultural events for the city of Midland; participating as a Board Member of The Legacy Center for Community Success of Midland for seven years, focusing on literacy services and youth development; being a co-founder of an organization called “The Big Give”, a group of 125 men supporting various non-profits in the community three times each year. Since its inception, this group has contributed more than $300,000 to deserving organizations. Kevin served as a Trustee with the Midland Area Community Foundation, working on its Cultural Awareness Committee promoting diversity, and serving on the Grants Committee. Kevin was recognized for his service on multiple occasions including being named the 2015 United Way “Heart of the Community” recipient for volunteerism as well as two Martin Luther King awards in 2016 for outstanding community service by both Saginaw Valley State University and Northwood University.

After retiring for good in 2017, Kevin and Jenny relocated to Charlotte and after visiting several clubs, elected to join the Charlotte Dilworth South End Rotary Club. Since joining the Club, Kevin served as President from 2019-2020 and has been involved with the Board in numerous capacities. A huge proponent of service, Kevin organized numerous food packing events and other volunteer opportunities in safe conditions during COVID.

On a District level, Kevin began serving as the Paul Harris Society Coordinator in 2019 and increased membership from 99 to 151. He also continues to serve on the District Grants Committee where he began in 2019. In addition, he served as PDG Nico Iannelli’s Chief of Staff and Assistant Governor for Area 8.

Kevin is a Paul Harris Fellow +8, a member of the Paul Harris Society, a Level 3 Bequest Society member, and a Major Donor. His wife Jenny is also a member of the Charlotte Dilworth South End Rotary Club and served as Club President in 2022-2023. Together, Kevin and Jenny have two adult children and five beautiful grandchildren. Outside of Rotary, Kevin served on the Board of Pineville Neighbors Place, a crisis assistance organization for the town of Pineville, and he was also a member of the Mecklenburg County COVID Renewal Task Force. In their spare time, Kevin and Jenny enjoy rescuing animals of every kind and looking for new opportunities to serve.

Donna Moffett, Rotary 7680 District Governor 2025-2026

Rotary Club of North Mecklenburg

Donna was born in Richmond VA and moved to Matthews NC with her family at a young age. She attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1980. Donna went on to UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating in 1984 with a double major in Economics and Political Science. Donna also attended UNC-Charlotte for accounting and business coursework.

Donna is a proud member of the North Mecklenburg County Rotary Club having joined the club in 1994 looking for local business connections, personal fellowship, and community service opportunities. Donna was president of North Mecklenburg Club for years 2014/2015, receiving District 7680 Governor’s Trophy for Club of the Year, and again as president for years 2020/2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has served as a club board member for years 2009-2017 and 2019 to present. She is a multiple Paul Harris fellow, Sustaining member and Benefactor.

At the District level, Donna’s roles include Chairing the District Conference Committee in 2017 and working on other District Conference and Foundation Banquet committees. She is currently District International Service Chair, year 2022-2023.

Professionally, Donna owns and operates a business accounting, tax, and consultancy practice, having joined the family business in 1989. The practice office is in Cornelius NC and has employees located in Cornelius NC, Matthews NC, and Richmond VA. Donna was a 2003 Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business Award Recipient and a 2016 Cornelius Top Women in Business Recipient. Personally, Donna’s pride and joy are her three children Caroline, Micah, and Olivia. They are now grown, happily married, and expanding with two grandchildren and one grand-dog. Donna married Greg Guin in 2019. Greg is CFO of a multi-specialty medical group in Statesville NC and has two grown children, Stephen, and Catherine and one grandchild. Donna and Greg reside in Mooresville NC.

Donna and Greg enjoy hiking, reading suspense novels, watching Jeopardy and of course, babysitting the grandbabies.

Jerry Coughter, Rotary 7680 District Governor Nominee Designate 2026-2027

Rotary Club of Charlotte

Jerry Coughter is District 7680’s District Governor Nominee and will serve as District Governor in Rotary Year 2026-27. As a proud member of the Rotary Club of Charlotte, Jerry has served as a Board Member, Membership Chair, Foundation Chair, and as a member of the Program Committee and the International Service Committee, before serving as President in 2020-21. He is an RLI graduate. At the District level, he was co-chair for the Paul Harris Society in 2015-16, and an Assistant Governor from 2022 through 2025. Jerry is a Major Donor, Benefactor, and Bequest Society member, as well a member of the Polio Plus Society and the Paul Harris Society. In 2013, Jerry was part of a group of Charlotte area Rotarians to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness for PolioPlus. Currently, Jerry is a WASH ambassador, advocating for water, sanitation, and hygiene projects. He serves as one of three North American representatives on the International Ambassador Committee of the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Rotary Action Group (WASH RAG). He is also a member of HANWASH, the Haitian National Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Initiative, working to bring clean water and sanitation to all 11.5 million citizens of Haiti. Jerry was named Distinguished Rotarian of the Year by his club in 2022-23. Professionally, Jerry is a Program Director at SSTI, a national nonprofit organization working to help states and regions create a better future through science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He previously served as the founding Executive Director of the Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte, Assistant Vice President for Economic Development at George Mason University, and Executive Director of the Virginia Research & Technology Advisory Commission and the Governor’s Biotechnology Commission. Jerry holds a BS in Microbiology from Clemson University. He earned an MS in Microbiology and Immunology from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from Shenandoah University. He performed doctoral work in Innovation Policy at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. Jerry and his wife Claire live in Belmont, North Carolina. They are proud parents of two adult daughters, Cate and Mary. They enjoy traveling, hiking, bicycle riding, and flat-water kayaking with their rescue mutt, Beamer.
